This genre of writing is relatively a new concept! Micro tale writing is exactly what the name suggests. It means writing less and conveying more. It’s a beautiful art of having a perpetual and deep influence or impact on the reader by simple few lines.

We are guessing it was invented for the modern reader who doesn’t seem to take the time (or have the time or interest) to even read captions on social feeds at times.

So what is a microtales really? The definitions are many, yet most prefer the story to be written in as less words as possible.

We chose the number of words to be 50 words or lesser. Oh, have you not heard about it yet? We announced our first micro tale contest that’s running on our Instagram page

Here’s what you need to do! Follow our page on Instagram

• Post a Micro tale (English only) on your Instagram feed from December 1st – 7th in 50 words or lesser
• Tag us on Instagram and use the hashtag #writefluencemicro on your post/s

It’s that simple!

Spinning a microtale within 50 words is not an easy task. As they say – the shorter, the harder!

So when we checked all the beautiful tales on #writefluencemicro we were baffled with so many amazing entries out there. Yet, we had to select the best three amongst all the other lovely tales.
