Only a few more days, and the constant feeling of having lived under a spell over the past many months would finally end. She was tired of the life of fear and restrictions. She had had enough!
The countdown had begun. They would never have to live with each other again. She bid time to fly faster, hoping that with each day put behind them, the trials and tribulations would only remain as a bitter memory while the pain largely forgotten.
She couldn’t wait to get the party started, to usher in the New Year and yell, “Bye-bye, 2020!”
