It spooks me wherever I go
So, I hide in the darkest corner where it leaves
It loudly roars my secrets to the ground on which it crawls
And haunts me at my own being.
It makes me lose my own acceptance and distracts me from my inner light
It shows me the shape I have and the imperfections I possess
I want to scream like the winds scream and yell like the clouds yell
As it creeps up on me, whispering that I am not enough
The animal inside me howls.
I feel like it is the shadow of insecurities
Sneaking up on me with ease,
Haunting me constantly
That nobody sees.
