So here we are, the women of today
We stand tall and shine bright in all weathers!
Our men, the kinder ones have acknowledged it
Let’s keep the rest out of our lives!

I’m here to tell you something about them today…
While you try keeping up to all the expectations
Don’t let them make you believe you can’t
‘Cos apples don’t make good pickles…
But they make the best pies and tarts!

When something eats you up within,
And you’re too scared to ask for help
Don’t wait for the damaged ship to sink…
Your life’s more important than so-called honor of your ancestral name.

Don’t you answer some questions they hurl!
“Why were you online on the phone late last night?”
Or “Why were you talking so much with that guy?”
Leave your fears behind and come out of it!

Emotional abuse is just that – an ABUSE !
Call out for help, don’t stay put!
