We are back with another poetry writing contest! Make sure to read through the participation guidelines thoroughly and scroll down to the bottom of the page for the participation link.

– SUBMISSION GUIDELINES â€“

  • Genre: Tragic / Sad / Melancholy
  • Word count: The poem should be 14 lines long, with every line containing 5 or more words
  • Any rhyme scheme
  • Author eligibility: Writers of age 16 and above, across the globe
  • All entries must be in English
  • Only original works that have not been published in print, digital or online publications will be considered
  • WriteFluence retains one-time exclusive publication right to the winning entries to be published in the High5 publication (i.e. You cannot publish the poems elsewhere during and after the contest if you’re one of the winning entries)
  • Submission fee: Free submissions until July 31, 2021; submission fee of INR 100/- per entry thereafter (Kindly mention Free Submission in the Payment ID field on the participation form)
  • Format: Submit your entry using the participation link at the bottom of this post. Do NOT send us email submissions!
  • Deadline: August 15, 2021

– RESULTS â€“

  • Results will be announced on August 31, 2021 and the winning poems will be published in our next publication
  • 20 (or more, depends on if we like your work) winning poets will be published in a book to be released thereafter – All 20 writers will win a special author feature in the book and a merit certificate (virtual) from WriteFluence
  • Top 3 writers will receive 1 physical copy of the book
  • Early bird prizes: A participation certificate (virtual) for the first 30 entries
    • The earlier you send your submission, the more time we have to read it at peace and calculate the scores

– OUR JURY â€“

Kaumudi Amrute’s writing workshops have received several amazing reviews from students of different age groups. Amrute is a retired educationist and has spread her wings now with her initiative of her small cultural venture ‘Kalaa Kalpana’ where she conducts short term writing workshops for all age groups and also runs handicraft workshops with the help of her students. When she’s not teaching, Amrute loves to knit, bake and conduct experiments in the kitchen. Amrute lives in Wilmington with her husband and a dog; and loves reading Christina Rossetti, Sylvia Plath and Phillis Wheatley.

    Also you’ve said to submit in word format but the form does not have the option to update a pdf. It says to paste the Poem.
