We asked Simran a few questions and here’s what she says:

What inspired this book?

I grew up in this small town where I felt like I really didn’t fit in. I felt really voiceless as a kid and isolated. Eventually as I grew older, I ended finding my power and voice through writing. Later on, I read tons of books on Manifestation and that’s how I found my calling. We are all spiritual human beings capable of attracting what we want toward ourselves. We just need to know how to. Everyone attracts and creates through their dominant thoughts, passionate words and intense emotions and vibrations. Even though its a highly spiritual genre, I being 25, was critique for not choosing poetry or some romantic love story to write on. Instead, I chose the road less travelled and I wrote a self-help, non-fictional book for the youth today. This book is a voice for the voiceless, a ray of hope for the hopeless and a reason to live for those in distress! Embrace the new you!

What’s your message for aspiring authors?

Writing is an art, an elusive one. Every time you write a new story, you create a new you. At least that’s what I preach. Pick something that you like and then expand on it. If you love food (who doesn’t?) start writing about that and then imagine the same getting bigger and better. When you write, you connect with yourself. Write your first draft with your heart-no edits, no pauses and then edit with your head.

Here’s wishing Simran all the very best for her literary journey!

Here’s what you can do to support a writer: Buy and read their book. Drop a review, be it a one liner on the shop link of their book. Share their work with others if you like it. Follow their social accounts/blogs. An artist craves for appreciation to stay motivated.
