What! – The short story contest

Are you someone who loves playing with words and spinning stories? Does the idea of creating magical tales that sweep readers away excite you? If yes, then get ready for the most anticipated writing contest of the year!

– SUBMISSION GUIDELINES –

Theme: Your short story MUST start with the protagonist exclaiming, “What!”.
Genre: Yeah, let’s make it a hilarious one this time!
Word count: 1500 – 2000 words. BE SURE OF YOUR WORD COUNT! Entries exceeding the word limits will be disqualified.
Author eligibility: Writers of age 18 and above from all over the globe
Submission fee: Rs. 199/- (which is equivalent to ~$2.25); to be paid using the payment button below.
Format:
- Type your story on an MS Word document (Font: Arial 12) and submit using the participation link at the bottom of this post.
- No headers/footers/page numbers/watermarks to be placed on the document.
- No email submissions will be entertained.
- All entries must be formatted as a single-spaced word document.
- All entries must be in English
- Only original works that have not been published in print, digital or online publications will be considered.
Deadline: June 15, 2024

– RESULTS –

Results will be announced after July 15, 2024.

25 (or more) winning stories will be published in a book to be released thereafter.
